If Prague was a person, it'd be one of those charismatic people who are charming without even trying and beautiful without even the slightest hint of arrogance. The city is indescribably beautiful, warm and friendly. The buildings and houses here gracefully follow the windy curves of the hills and trace along the verdant banks of the tranquil Vltava river. Rather than try to dominate nature, the city complements its natural surroundings and makes them even more beautiful.
One of the great things about Prague was how cheap everything seemed relative to Paris and Berlin. I ordered a two pound rack of smoked ribs, complete with side dishes and a pint of beer, for less than $10. One of the specialty beers of the region is Pilsner Urquell, a golden-colored, light-bodied beer which Budweiser is based off of. Another drink that they serve here is Absinthe, a green, almost radioactive looking liquid that is made from wormwood and banned in the USA and various EU countries due to its purportedly hallucinogenic effects (claims, some would say, exaggerated by the competing wine industry). In truth, it is no more dangerous than any other hard alcohol, and worth trying if you are adventurous...
