A night at the Bellagio and O!

Do you ever wonder what "portable electronic devices" are? Southwest had a page of definitions in their in-flight magazine.
I had a business trip in Vegas this week, so we decided to spend an extra day and watch the Cirque de Soleil show O at the Bellagio. We took a Southwest flight from SJC for the short 1.5 hour flight to Vegas. Checked into the Bellagio Hotel, since that's where O is at, and we wanted to see how this hotel is compared to the Venetian we were at a few months back. The Bellagio is more expensive, and I think for the price, the Venetian had a better room and the service was better too. They did not turn down our bed at the Bellagio, we were kind of surprised. Anyway, the hotel is pretty plush, and we enjoyed our walk in the conservatory where they had the Chinese New Year theme in place for the year of the Tiger, and the garden around the pool. We grabbed a Chinese dim sum lunch at the Noodles restaurant, which was pretty tasty, although they ran out of the egg tarts which we wanted for dessert.

We had our drink ($14 a pop) at the Fontana bar, where we had a good view of the live music and also the fountain show, before going to the O Theatre. We had front row "Wet seat" they warned us at the ticket counter, but we didn't really get wet! This is the second time I saw the O, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. My husband Kevin saw it for the first time, and really had a good time at the show. We could tell the performers also enjoyed doing it. It's pretty amazing what they could do there, and the behind the scene stage mechanics I am sure is more amazing. I highly recommend the show!
We had dinner afterwards at the YellowTail restaurant in the hotel. It had a trendy young crowd, and we had to wait a while even though we had reservation, because they had a 30 people party in there! Anyway, the food was great, so we forgave them.

Glad you enjoy your stay over there! I can't believe that they will decorate the garden with the theme of Year of Tiger...which is really cool! :)
