Ok, so being a foodie, I was always going to love Bangkok.  But I wasn't quite
prepared for just how much.
Everything about it rocked.  From the cheap knockoff markets, to the huge malls,
to the boutique stores to the culture and historical sites - what a fabulous place.
My main reason for visiting was work, but I managed to get out and about in the evenings and on a couple of afternoons. It was a bit too hot and muggy to go walking around for hours at a time, so I was really grateful for the BTS SkyTrain - it made it easy to get from place to place.
I hit the Suan Lum night market quite a bit - many, many bargains to be had there, as well as good beer and some ok food.
Ate lots of Pad Thai at  Central Mall's FoodLoft, HIGHLY recommended, it was dam tasty.
I only got sightseeing once, and went to Wat Pho and Wat Arun and took a boat trip up the Chao Phraya river - a great experience in and of itself.
MBK store is awesome for DVDs and T shirts :o)
I have decided that I need to go back to Bangkok, but not for work next time.  I've already started planning a holiday for next year!
But I think I might have to add a week in Phuket :o)
