I went to Cuba with my parents. Since I like to travel, and do so on the cheap, they put me in charge of organizing our time there as well as our accommodations. Why they did this, I do not know.

La Habana

We arrived in Havana around 8:00pm without knowing where we were going to stay. My trusty lonely planet had a few listing of people who opened up their house to tourists, so I figured we would call some of them up and stay with one of them.

Once we went through customs, we were greeted by a very lovely lady who was giving out tourist information. When I told her we did not have accommodations set up, she immediately phoned her friend and found us a place to stay. It was a very nice welcome.

A good part of the first day was spent in a horse-drawn carriage, getting a city tour from a very chatty and friendly guide. These pictures were all taken from our tour or from us walking around. It's such a pretty little city!
