Paris - finding food and friendly service

Well, the next day I had the crazy idea to eat a Nutella crepe somewhere. We found this quite nice looking place and walked in sat down and waited for one of the staff to come and take the order. My friend luckily speaks French so they were chatting away and then he told me that we have to sit outside next to the noisy street. When I asked him why, he told me that for drinks only we have to sit outside! I was a little bit confused because I was actually planning to eat something so I told him to (please) tell the waiter that we were actually planning on eating something! Anyway a few seconds later he told me that we still could not eat inside because we were sitting at a table for 4 people and there were only big tables inside!! “???” Now I was even more confused because this whole café was empty inside, there were only a few people outside! Maybe anyone can explain me why!
I was still hungry and I wanted my crepe but for sure I didn’t want to spend any cent in there! So we left and walked down the street and pretty much on the next corner we found this not so fancy looking but very nice Crepe shop with even very friendly staff!! I ordered and I was very surprised when the guy in the shop started speaking some German to me! I enjoyed my yummy crepe and paid only half the price of what I would have paid at the other place! J
Afterwards we continued to our Touristy route through the city by foot! After all I had a great time in
