After seeing a client I decided to visit “Zeeuws Museum”, in Middelburg, the capital of the Dutch province Zeeland.

I was surprised to find a column (entering Middelburg) where you could print a free map pointing out where ever you want to go in the city centre.

The museum is located in the abbey, a beautiful building in the historic city centre.

Currently one of the (temporary) exhibitions is “Distant Worlds (The Collection of Hans Warren)”. I was impressed by this wonderful collection. In the meantime I booked a guided tour to see the collection once more on Feb. 14th !

The museum has a lovely café (restaurant) with fair prices. I had a mustard soup with very good dark bread for 4 Euro. The soup and bread where that much that it was a full meal.

For more information: www.zeeuwsmuseum.nl (in Dutch, German and English!).
