Today's our last Island on the cruise, and it's only a short stay too, the ship has to leave at 3 rather than 6 to reach the Dominican Republic in time. There are busses set up waiting for ship to come in and take you up a stupidly steep hill (mountain) and over the other side to Cane Garden Bay, or you can just jump in a taxi if you don't want to sit and wait for the busses to fill up, or go somewhere else. The buses are worth the trip though, you get a little bit of history of the place, and he stops for photos etc. The beach was nice and the sea was really clear for snorkling....there was just nothing to see! We all just chilled today and had arranged for the bus to pick us up at 1.30, and as usual my dad went missing and only just caught it in time while my grandad had a full conversation with non-english speaking couples who hadn't a clue what he was on about!
Going back to the ship you could get off in the town centre and do a spot of shopping, but it seemed to just be the same stalls as the other islands, and time was running short-the boat doesn't wait for late comers!
