Galt to Eureka ..... Through the rain and snow....

Aunt Gail is a fabulous cook.   For breakfast she made biscuits, gravy, eggs, coffee, orange juice, orange slices,  bacon and two kinds of sausages.    It was a real feast.  She really spoiled us.... and on her birthday too.  Uncle Larry was out delivering "meals on wheels" so he missed breakfast. We sat around the table solving the world's problems for about an hour.  We left Galt around noon.   At 12:15 Gail called to tell me I left my pills and vitamins so we turned around and drove back.   Darn.   Tara had a training so we didn't go the Santa Rosa route.   We were sad to miss her but when she's in training she can't take off.  We drove in rain and wind most of the way home.   We went up past Williams and Clear Lake (on the 20)  .....   we managed to find one mountain pass with snow coming down but it wasn't cold enough to stick on the ground yet.

We made very few stops.   We stopped at McDonald's in Willits to inspect their facilities and get a hamburger and coffee.   We were anxious to get home.   Mom and Dad wanted to get their dog at my brother's house tonight and wanted to arrive as early as possible.   It took a little time to unload mom's shopping at their house .....  whew that little lady can shop!!!.....  and we drove to our house.   So good to be home....   I'll be ready to travel again about noon tomorrow...  ;D
