The Orange river. Southern border (with South Africa) In the background, the mountains of the Richtersveld, another must see destination for nature lovers.

Namibia is one of those countries that is different. You will understand what I mean the moment you set foot on its soil. And always a very pleasant, positive different. I just cannot help but return on a regular basis.

Namibia is a relatively large country at 2.3 times the size of Germany, with a total population that numbers about half of the people of Berlin.

Visiting the desolate, dry, mainly uninhabitat, rural Namibia brings you much closer nature. You can feel the emptyness of a quiet world. There are huge parts of the country that is not filled with artificial human noice.

To try give you the feeling of this beautiful world, I will do that with images only. It is difficult to describe in words, so I will not use any.

My images is in the order in which I normally travel through the country, that is from south to north.

Enjoy.
