The newly weds

We prepared and packed our clothes and other stuff in the morning. I brought with me one dress, a pants and blouse (in case i don't want to wear the dress), shoes and a small kit for makeups. We went to my cousins' house, my parents dropped me off their house and picked up grandma who was very much excited for Kuya Rocel who is very dear to her, that finally he's going to say goodbye to "singlehood" and say hello to married life.

We left my cousin's house at around 10am, and we went to my tita's house in Bailen (Gen. Aguinaldo, Cavite)! We arrived at around 12nn, we had few more minutes to do our make up and fix ourselves as the wedding will start at 12:30. We arrived at the church but seems like it's not gonna start yet, we waited for almost an hour before the wedding started (yeah filipino time).

While waiting I opened my digicam to take some photos and (voila, vwalah!) low battery! But I did not panic coz I got a charger in my bag, glad I brought it. I consumed the church's electricity for more than an hour, plugged it before the wedding ceremony and unplugged it after the ceremony. After the ceremony, we started taking photos (Thanks to St. Joseph Parish Church!)

I was able to use my digicam once again. After all the smiles and the pose we headed to the reception in Taal Vista Hotel. We checked the venue, it was spacious, with bright and cool lightings and good interiors with a combination of earth colors. The room has a capacity of 150 guests, there were 3 buffet tables setup and a sound system booth. From the spot where the newlyweds were seated, we can see through the glass sliding door the view of taal volcano and lake.

Finally we can start eating.
Very breathtaking and romantic!

By the time the new couple arrived at the venue, they started to call out the guests in every table, to take group photos with the newlyweds. After that they proceeded to the buffet table, luckily i'm seated at table no. 4. :D The menu consists of seafood soup, salad, cold cuts of meat, rice, beef lasagna, maya maya fish in green sauce, porkloin in orange sauce, and lengua. For the dessert, strawberry cheesecake, apple cake, brownies and coffee. It was delicious, although I wanted to go back to the buffet table to get some more, I couldn't because I was really really full.

After eating, the emcee started a short program, he told us the story of how Kuya Rocel and Maricel met, how grandma became "the bridge" to introduce Marice to Rocel, how Maricel's brother became like "the cupid" when he secretly took photos of her and sent it to Rocel as she doesn't want to give her photo to him.

not too high please.
After that, the parents of the bride and groom gave a few messages for the new couple. Then came the traditional throwing of the garter and the bridal flower. Single men started first (glad none of my cousins got the garter, coz if they do it won't be fun anymore) :P , then it's the ladies' turn, guess who, "Who?", who got the flower?... I got the flower (see why it won't be fun if a cousin of mine got the garter) LOL. And so it went like, "put a garter on it!..." But not too high please. :D LOL

The things I like about the wedding are the solemnity of the wedding ceremony, the beautiful setup at the reception and of course delicious foods served! And the best of all it is a wonderful moment to witness the union of two people from different world (Rocel grew up in the US, but pinoy na pinoy paren and ate Maricel lives in the Philippines) who found true and unconditional love, after the long wait (the guy is already in his 40s and the girl is 30s), finally the search is over. You guys are such an inspiration! Congratulations and best wishes to Kuya Rocel and Ate Maricel!
