Just a quick snap shot out of the train window as we head toward Munich
Ok, so now I am out of Italy and made my way to Munich. The trip through Switzerland was great. They scenery was just incredible. I enjoyed the ride, but the destination was well worth the hours on the train.
Munich was one of those towns that I have been to before and was anxious about revisiting some of the sites and experiences that were taken for granted when I lived in Germany. I was able to meet up with Robert, roadwarrior365, and spend the day with him traveling around town and exploring the Christmas season in Bavarian town.
We did all of the things most tourist would do including shopping at the Christmas Markets all over town, taking all of those wonderful photos, visiting churches, climbing to the top of church towers, eating good food, spending lots of money and resting in a really nice hotel.
There was no real drama, except when I saw a small Christmas tree that was selling for nearly $20. I nearly flipped but did get a good photo. We walked a lot and just had a great time. There was enough snow on the ground to remind us that winter was the boss in this area, but then the sun decided that he couldn’t let old man winter out do him, so he peaked his head out for the day. It was nice.
