This evening we are going to eat in Kirkoswald, in a restaurant called Souter Johnnie's Inn (the shoe maker from Tam O' Shanter, a character from Robert Burns [Sprich: Rabby Barns], THE famous poet from the west side of Scotland -the other one is Sir Robert Scott from Edinburgh-. This shoe maker is portrayed with a glass of liquor like he can handle this better than his tools. If further study of this subject is necessary, see http://sites.scran.ac.uk/robertburns/poems/8/)

And at his elbow, Souter Johnny,
His ancient, trusty drouthy cronie,
Tam lo'ed him like a very brither,
They had been fou for weeks thigether.

His ancient, trusty drouthy cronie,
Tam lo'ed him like a very brither,
Drinking thigether all that gallons of bitter.

The Inn belongs to the Costly Inn group. The service is good, the food is nice. As always I forget to make pics of the starters and the sweets, but they are very good.
We had Liver, Boeuf Stoganoff, Smoked Salmon and Curry.

When we leave it starts to rain, but with temps about 2 C it isn't going to be slippery, so we arrive home safe.
