The food here is amazing, v yummy and cheap. Converted to A$, it cost A and I about $5 each for dinner, including three meals together and drinks. crazy stuff. Am trying lots of new drinks, which are so different to anything I've tried before.
Spent the evening shopping, the service in ever the smallest, cheapest shops is suprisingly good, sales assistants everywhere! Nowhere in Tas gives that kind of service (except for maybe G & P ;) Have done a bit of shopping, love it! Have got lost a few times, but it was kind of fun to see a bit more of the place, huge shopping centeres mostly. Much bigger than anything I've seen in Melbourne.
Staying in a very nice hotel, although the complex is currently undergoing renovations, so the ground floors are a bit dusty. Is right in the heart of the city, several big shopping centeres just accross the road! I walked around with my mouth open for several hours, A kept telling me to shut it :p Speaking of raods, the driving here is terrifiying.
Oh, and I successfully used a real Malaysian toilet. You have to squat over a hole in the ground, try not to miss, and just do your business. Harder than I thought haha. Oh, and you have to pay to use public toilets, and to buy toliet paper!! The toilets are pretty scummy though, worse than the old Franklin Square ones.
The time zone difference means that this has been a very long day... is now 1:30am Tassie time, but only 10:30pm KL time. Am quite tired, so that's all for now, will post when we get net. Add photos when i can.
