For some reason the Taphouse has slipped my radar for some time but my first visit there only made me wanna come back again. Tap house is located just behind the Town Hall and 150 meters from the main walking street, Strøget.
Inside the interior is very plain with benches and tables that reminded me of the Friday bar at university. The atmosphere was relaxed and people were having fun all over talking and enjoying beers. The clientele was from 25-30 years old and upwards and everybody seemed to be in good mood.
The numbers of beers on taps were impressive - 61 different to be exact. Most of the bartenders were quite knowledgeable about the different products they were serving but it still helped if you knew the number on the tap you were ordering.
Another place that I went to this evening was the Rum Club. The Rum Club is as it says a bar where the focus is on making rum drinks and cocktails. The bar is really cozy and has a fabulous ambiance especially if you arrived there around midnight. The drinks are not cheap but they are good. I can recommend their mojito’s but it is also recommendable to talk to the waiters about tasting some of the smooth rums that they have.
The Rum Club has a wide selection of about 350 bottles of rum, from the young to the older, from all over the world. If you never have been thoroughly introduces to rum they are willing to set up some rum menu’s in order to introduce the diversity of it.
The bartenders are service-minded and know a lot about the products that they are serving. It is a great place to hang out and have some fun with others who also enjoys the fun of rum. The bar is located in studiestraede and there are loads of nice bars and cafes in the area so it is a great place to hang around.
