Seeing the Sites

We woke up early...especially compared to the sleepy-heads in our room. Me and my travel buddy were the last ones in the night before, and the first ones up...who sleeps away their whole vacation? Anyway, we got up and headed into town, had coffee at a little cafe in Fertillia then caught the bus into Alghero. We walked along the beach front for a while, then bought tickets and caught the boat out to Neptune's Grotto. It was a great bumpy boat ride, and the caves were magnificint! The tour was lacking a little, since each bit was repeted in 4 languages (maybe 5...?) When they were speaking english the information was good however! When we saw the stairs into the cave (the only other option if you don't take the boat) we were glad to have boat tickets!! It is something like 600+ stairs into and then out of the caves!!
After the boat got back we went and toured around Alghero, seeing the sites and shopping, including a few purchases of the red coral jewlery that is only found (so we have been told) in North Western Sardinia.
After that, back for a little nap, some lovely chatting with a couple brit chicks at the hostel, and a great dinner!! The swordfish was to die for!!
