Game Day in Green Bay

At about 7:00am, everyone was up and bristling with excitement. There were only five hours until game day!
After breakfast at the hotel, we grabbed the beer we picked up the night before (I decided to go with a 4-pack of Milwuakee's Best Ice), and started walking the two blocks towards Lambeau. Our other friends weren't quite ready yet, so we decided to take a walk around the stadium to see what was already going on. So, at about 9:25am, I cracked open my first beer.
It was foggy, slightly windy and about 14 degrees at this time. We were a little worried about the fog, but there was still time for it to lift. There were already hundreds of cars out in the lots, either already partying or setting up their spreads.
We found our friends and continued sipping beer with them through the morning. Many people were going down the sidewalk heading to the stadium in very interesting garb: fox-fur hats (complete with the head), vintage Acme Packers uniforms, a pair dressed up as Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street, an older man wearing what appeared to be his wife's fur coat.
At one point, I looked down at my beer and noticed that any dribble on the top of the can, as well as any stray foam...were frozen! Finally, it was almost noon, and thus, game time. The air had warmed up to a steamy 25 degrees, and the sun had come out and lifted the fog. We couldn't ask for anything better!
On out way in, we were handed free towells for waving, wiping noses, etc. They had the Packers logo on them, and said GO PACK GO. Once inside, we all hit up the restrooms, and then went our separate ways, as no more than two people were seated together.
The excitement was in the air as the stands filled up, and the starters came out of the tunnel. Some guy who was a runner up on American Idol sang the National Anthem, and some military jets flew over. Long story short, by half time, the Packers were dominating.
At half time, we got a unique show; "lumberjacks" came out with chainsaws and hand saws to compete in sawing through some logs. Only in Wisconsin would you see such a thing.
Well, four interceptions, and a whole lot of scoring later, the Packers came out victorious, 48-10. With the Giants' loss, they were guarenteed a spot in the playoffs, so everyone was extra happy.
After getting sandwiches at a local Jimmy John's in order to soak up what we'd already had, we bought more beer and headed to the Best Western for more poolside fun. A side trip was made to the hotel bar, where we took turns singing Karaoke, and then it was off to Stadium View to close out the night. And what a night it was, full of more chanting and yelling, cursing at the Redskins/Cowboys game on TV (everyone hates the Cowboys) and more drinking and dancing. By 2am, we were all exauhsted, after one of the most fun days of our lives! When in Green Bay!
