Just another day during the Christmas Season...

After breakfast today I took the girls to the library to pick out some books and dvd's for the next few days. I ran into an old friend whom I hadn't seen in about twenty years so it was fun catching up for a while! Turns out we're in the same line of work too, although she is tourguiding and I am a trainee travel consultant, but obviously we both like to share our experiences with fellow travellers!
In the afternoon my eldest daughter Reagan was a bit bored so I decided to take her to the shops to pick out a small toy for herself and her sister. While doing that I was hoping to find a few things that might be suitable as Christmas presents too. Unfortunately she didn't find anything she liked and neither did I. On the way home we passed by a shop which was ideal for my mum's gift so at least I am one present down!
When we got home we had some lunch and then I went out again with my mum for more Christmas shopping to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. Every time I found something suitable for someone I would look over at the cash register and get discouraged: 20 people waiting in line was nothing! I think I may have to go back around 9 in the morning one of these days, I might actually get to pay before closing time!
