Day 4, the bus trip back home.
Its 5:30 : Time to rise and shine. They need our luggage before 6am at the bus, but our luggage needs to be apart from the rest, because we are leaving the bus first. We have our breakfast and at 6:30 everybody is in the bus. First I had a short talk to the driver and she told me that the strange noise was over. They had replaced a tube somewhere that was responsible for the turbo of the bus. Now we are ready to go. We pass a big fitness and Sauna center and she drives and drives to find the highway to Germany. But what do we see? Was it another fitness centre we pass or the same as one hour ago? Yes it was the same. So it looked like we are having problems to get out of Prague. She tries again and now we are going the right way. It is very quiet in the bus, it seems that a lot of people need some extra sleep.
We had our first stop for a little snack or drink and continued. Suddenly we leave the highway and are driving quit a long time over secondary roads. I still don’t know what the purpose of that was. It must be that this route was shorter, but is was certainly not quicker. Then an announcement that our group will not be dropped off first. The rest need to be in time in Didam for there diner which we wouldn’t have because we are not supposed to go there. But the positive thing is that this bus will immediately go back to bring us to our Company again. This was not planned, but what is another hour extra.
Till the next stop it took more than 4 hours. The weather is getting worse and it is starting to rain. Now she stops and we have a chance to eat something. This is our last stop and without problems she drives straight to Didam. After a visit to the restrooms we get in the bus again. Now in the lower compartment. In the bus Fred is talking to the 2 girls with had something to celebrate. We bought the two girls 2 T-shirts with the text on it:
At our factory we say goodbye to each other and everybody is going home.
“Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to Prague”.
This was a very good weekend to the Czech Republic. Very nice to meet our Colleagues there and to see where they are working. Luckily we were able to see Olomouc mostly and of course Prague was beautiful. It was a long bus trip and a long time in the train but I think it was worth it.
