Its raining, raining
Today was a pretty eventful day in the big apple. Our group decided that we would get the $50 two day bus tour so that we could see a majority of the city in a quick amount of time. We basically traveled from Times Square to the top of Harlem all the way down to the Statue of Liberty on the south end of Manhattan and back to Times Square again. Some of the places/things we saw on our day long tour included: Columbus Circle, Central Park, the Trump Tower, Empire State Building, Chrystler Building, Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown, NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, The Apple Store, Broadway, FAO Schwartz, Brooklyn, Ground Zero, Harlem
, Greenwich Village etc.

..So we covered a lot of ground! It was another overcast and drizzly day in NYC...we rode on the top of the double decker bus and eventually were given ponchos to wear...then we looked like real
tourists. Earlier in the morning, we stopped by the NBC studios and saw Anne Curry interviewing Giada from the Food Network. That was kinda cool; I might've been on TV maybe in the background? After that, we went to Central Park (the birthplace of landscape architecture, by the way) and walked around for a while. That was pretty cool too...Our tour took us through the rest of the downtown area and then we took the upper Manhattan tour to Harlem etc...That was a good tour to see the upper side, but we didn't get off at any spots.

The lower Manhattan tour took us all the way down to the Statue of Liberty, but we stopped off at the WTC site. It was under construction, but they had some displays of future plans for the memorial. The Statue of Liberty ferry to the island was closed once we got there, so we're headed back in the morning. We had an ok dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe...service was bad though. Then we caught the night bus tour around the city and got to see the amazing Manhattan skyline all lit up at night. It was awesome and probably my favorite thing of the day!! We've got another exciting day ahead tomorrow...we're going to the Statue of Liberty island and hopefully to the top of the Empire State Building. Exciting stuff!
