Well, here we are...a mere 53 days away from leaving for 3 months!!  I can't believe how fast the time is going right now.  There seems to be so much to do, but I'm not sure what.  I have done a few things, though to get my trip kick started.  I got an awesome duffel/roller/backpack at Costco along with Rick Steve's "Back Door Through Europe"; My international student card arrived in the mail this week;  I've been semi-faithfully studying my Italian, French, Spanish and German...And I got my first paycheck of the summer for interning!! FINALLY!  It's bittersweet to get money, probably 80% should go straight into savings for the trip.  Its hard to work full time and not be able to "treat" yourself to any indulgences etc, but I know its well worth it in the end to save...

There are a few things left to do for our pre-Italy trip (which is NY, London and Paris)...we still need to book a place to stay in Paris and also purchase our tickets from London to Paris/Paris to Rome.  Then we need to figure out our itinerary  for the trip...basically mapping out the "big" touristy things that we really can't pass up.

I am really looking forward to this experience...meeting new people, eating good food, experiencing so much history and culture...the more I talk about it with former students who went, the more excited I'm getting!  I can't wait to see Stonehenge, eat gelato every day at school, see Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower, talk in british accents with Patty! The list goes on and if anyone has any tips for this trip, please offer!  More to come soon....
