Ok so the rain in Cusco has made Machu Pichu not available so we opted to go to Amazon a little early and try it again tomorrow. So the trip here we ended up booking it from in Cusco in main square there is a Tambo office. Tambo is great, you will get good food, a good guide and get to see a lot of the area and animals. So on the trip we had 2 Americans a mom and daughter and 3 Danish who didn´t hardly talk the whole time I could just hear them swearing. Anyway we went to Monkey Island first day and saw 8 monkeys took a while to lure them out with bananas, on way back saw an aligator too. Second day we went to the lake which was a big trek through the mud and we found a few monkeys again and in afternoon we did a night excursion at tambo and found so many spiders and insect. In morning we got up at 4am to go see the parrots, then went to the canopy it is so freaking high and cool, I thought good effor by the american to get up as she is 64 years old and it is steep as. After the canopy we went to the animal conservation and pretty much saw animals we didn´t see on rest of trip, my fav being the spider monkey and puma. The rest of group went to airport so me and my dad got taken to the snake farm and city meseum, I asked to hold an anaconda and was allowed so make sure you ask if you want to as well, we went fishing for piranas in afternoon but no luck and that was end of trip, I was for pancakes for breakfast and the recipe as they so nice and got them for breakfast, then we got dropped off at royal hotel here same as Cusco! anyway the guide was fantastic and I loved the food and place so I reccommend going to Tambo lodge if you want to see the Amazon here.
