Well I went out for my 21st, Salta´s nightlife seems to be just people going out to eat at 10 to 12 then going home there is not really a bar or disco available for week days at least so no party for my big birthday. I also went up the wire to the mountain it is 10 peso one way, nice view of Salta.
I organised a whitewater rafting trip with salta rafting through my hostel. This is probably the best and only good fun I had since in Argentina so it cheered me up, the people in my raft were pretty cool and I made a couple of English friends. The guide we had was from Germany and pretty funny, we also had a dog the whole time in our raft for 2 hours. The zipline was then 4 lines but they are pretty far and go between the mountains a lot different to my one I did in Thailand. They also gave a barbie and I manage to stock up on just eating sausage and steak but had some potato too. The cost of the trip was 290 peso so not cheap but not over expensive. The whole way down the river there were 4 rafts and when any one raft came near there was a splash war. Only bad part I got massive sunburn on my legs, South America does not like me I guess. Tomorrow I go on the excursion south to see rock formations and a winery, then next day I got to get up at 7 to get bus to San Pedro, arrive 3:30 but can´t find hostel on net at moment I will keep looking.
