The walls

We had the whole morning free in Feng Huang to do some last minute local shopping and to explore the old town.  Feng Huang has that very oriental ancient city feeling.  There is a watch bridge across the river, shops and residential places lined the two sides of the town.  It still have some of the old-time feeling.  You see people on bicycles, travelling with their goods to start their business, also Miao women, in their traditional customes, weaving souvenir pouches and shoes, there are also Miao silver ornaments.

It was still morning, and there arent alot of people walking the town.  We walked up the walls and combed a stretch of the place on the wall.  After some shopping, we went back to the hotel to check out and get ready for our next journey to Chang De.

As we had a long journey, from the rural Feng Huang to Chang De, we spent the evening in the foot massage palour in the hotel.  It is a very weird feeling because the whole of of us who are female, went into the dark recreational centre to find the service lady in leather clothings, which very thick make-ups.  Mine was wearing her pyjamas already.  But anyway, that was only a 4-star hotel.  When your body is soo tired, it doesnt matter how professional the foot massage service session is.  You would be glad to just have someone, knead those tired muscles.
