Destination Seoul, South Korea
I left Frankfurt last night. After waiting 2 hours for deicing we were finally in the air, destination Seoul, South Korea.

Due to the snow and deicing in Frankfurt we arrived Seoul 2 hours late. That did not fit my itinerary. Since I had so little time in Seoul I had planned some sight seeing in the afternoon, but that was not going to happen. Seouls Incheon airport is a modern structure. After getting off the plane we walked something that felt like miles to get to a little driver less train which took us to the main terminal. Seeing all the people getting off our plane, plus the other planes too, I thought immigration would take forever. I got in line and 15 minutes later I was through, had picked up my bag and was waiting for the airport bus into the city.
Arriving Incheon airport
THIS was efficient! Walking through the terminal did not give me the Asia feeling I had expected. The first thing you see as you arrive is Duncan Donuts, McDonalds, The Coffee Bean and Paris Croissant Kitchen. They all look too familiar.

The airport bus (no 6011) took almost one hour to get to Anguk Station, which was my stop. From there it was just a 5 minutes walk to my accommodation, Yims House Hotel Seoul (see separate review).

Since it was already 5 o´clock I walked over to Insadong to get something to eat. Airline food is not exactly filling. Insadong Street was full of people. It is an area where you will find lots of restaurants and food stalls. You can also see how they make traditional Korean sweets. It was entertaining to watch three guys at a stall singing while they were making kkultarae- a bit sized sweet made from cornflour threads, honey and a mix of nuts. I wanted to try a Korean dish. Have heard of the Yuk, the Kimchi and the Bibimbap. What would it be? I ended up trying the yuk at Yuk 1001 Iyagi. Feeling a bit cold it was nice to get a hot meal.

After a stroll through the Insadong area it was time to call it a night. I was really feeling the long flight and the 8 hour time difference now.
