Home from shopping

Today is a day for the girls to hang out in Annapolis without me. I'm driving to Williamsburg, Virginia to attend a ground breaking ceremony where my dad & step mom are building their new house and a Bed & Breakfast. This project of his has been in the works for many years, and finally they are going to start building! So, with me gone for most of the day, Lena & Louise are meeting up with Lena's two other Swedish girlfriends Jenny & Karin. Their plan is to have lunch at Middleton's Tavern downtown Annapolis, do a little shopping, then go to the mall here in town and shop some more.

The weather today is not nice at all!! Raining and forecast to change over to snow later this afternoon!! I made my 3 hour drive to Williamsburg, we did the ceremony, had coffee and donuts under a tent while it rained on & off.

After pictures and chatting with the builder and other guest attending, I made the 3 hour drive back to Annapolis. It was still raining when I left Williamsburg, but changed over to snow during my drive back home. By the time I reached Annapolis, there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground!!  Two days ago when Louise first arrived here, it was 60f, and now it is 33f and snowing it's ass off!!!  Welcome to Maryland weather Louise!! :)

I met up with the girls at the mall around 3:00pm, Karin and Jenny had already headed back home. So, Lena, Louise and I did some more shopping for Christmas presents, then headed back to our house to warm up and relax for the rest of the evening. With the weather being nasty, we decided to stay home for dinner. Lena fixed Swedish meatballs and potatoes, then we watched a few movies on the TV.

We also opened up the gift Louise brought for us from London; a box with two bottles of Perrier-Jou√ęt Grand Brut Champagne!! Wow!! What a nice gift!! We finished off one bottle, and was told to save the last one just for us later. I can't say enough how much fun we have had, and how sweet and fun Louise is! For those that have meet her, you know; and for those that have not, it's you're loss for not knowing this great person! :)

The day is done, and this weekend has gone by too fast! Tomorrow Louise leaves, but not until the afternoon. We have not made any plans, so we'll come up with something tomorrow morning over breakfast.
