Gun Range in Ao Nang
For whatever reason, in the middle of my "great sleep" last night, I woke up with a warm and discomforting feeling in my chest. I knew something ws wrong. I tried to go back to bed but this foreign feeling in my body was not goign to allow that. Eventualy I made my way to the bathroom and had the pleasure of re-enjoying my dinner for the last time. I wondered if anyone had had the same issues but I later found out they had not. Lucky Me. I guess I had a bug of some sort and hoped I would be okay when I woke up later that morning and luckily I was. The 5 of us met for breakfest at our hotel and decided to make our way to town. The weather was shit and thus we didn't really know what to do. We first started off a a gun range where I shot my first gun ever, a 9mm hand gun.
In the back of a pick up on the way to Bernies Buffet
After looking at the target after I shot, I will assume I did the right thing by not becoming a police officer. Aim was way off. After the gun range, we walked around the town of Ao Nang
which became a little tedius and boring as it is littered with hundreds of stores, all selling the same junk. I am not saying that the junk doesn't interest me but I know I will be flying out of Bangkok
and it is there where I shall pick up the normal "I'm a Westerner and it is time to fill a suitcase with denim and shirts and cds and watches and art" before I leave. Eventually the crew of five decided to make our way via Longtail boat to Railey Beach.
Chang Bar in Ao Nang
Railey is a rock climber's heaven with 90 degree cliffs lying next t beautiful beaches. We tried to enjoy the beach but the weather was so poor. I bought a little kick ball for 200 baht and the 4 boys started playing with that which in turn made us sweat and three of us decided to go swimming. Once in the water, it started to pour with rain and as we watched the beach clear, we enjoyed every minute of it. There is something about swimming in the rain. You're basically telling the sky to bring everything it has as nothing at that point can disturb you. It was great. After Railey, we made our way back to Ao Nong... again by Longtail boat. I had decided at this point that I was over this part of Thailand and that I would be leaving for Koh Lanta the next day.
We all took a photo with this one Lady Boy - my face says it all.
I guess Chloe and Terry had the same idea but would be leaving for Koh Samui. The english boys decided that they would stay and thus I have no idea where they are now, other than on my facebook. That night we went for a mroe appropriae dinner - an all you can eat thai bbq and buffet. From there, off to Chang Bar where we played drinking games and watched football along with the other 300 people packed into a bar that would hold 50 in Canada. Over the night, we met a bunch of UKers (there are just soooooooo many here - along with mady Sweedish folk) and bar hopped from there. By the endish part of the night, we found ourselves at "Amy 69" bar which I would have to assume is the hub of all Ao Nang Lady Boys. Puke. I would have left but there was a cute Finnish girls with her friend and they were funny as hell to hang out with and thus we stayed. Well, they might have convinced us to stay by their constant urge to make out with each other. What's that? You're goingt o Koh Samui? Oh, umm, right, mee too.. lol. At 5 or 6am I retreated home, to pack, so I could make my shuttle pick up at 9:30.
