A wonderful day in Taipei...

This morning started with the ultimate worst case scenario!!! Aaargh!
As we got back to the hotel late last night and as we didn't have specific plans to go somewhere special today, we didn't wanna get up so early.
When we finally went down to the hotel bar a few minutes after 10am to have breakfast, we heard the shocking news: "Sorry, breakfast only from 7 to 10 am!"
Whaaaat? Breakfast only until 10am?! How dare they! The fact that there weren't any coffee shops or restaurants near the hotel didn't improve this empty-stomach situation. After having a coffee and a snack in a coffee shop near Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT station the situation eased off.
Ok, today is the last day of our 3D2N trip to Taipei. So on today's schedule, just some casual sightseeing and shopping!
First stop is the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall.
There are always two honor guards standing in front of the statue, who are replaced every hour. The change of guards is a big spectacle, lots of people watching and taking pictures.
The whole memorial hall area was full of people, and there was some sort of market there, and also a stage where various dance groups performed. Quite nice and interesting place to hang out for a while, in contrast to some other memorial places.
We spent the rest of the afternoon in bustling Ximen area to do some shopping and get a nice late lunch, before setting out on the journey back to Hong Kong.
Wow! This trip was over way too fast! We visited so many nice places... I really liked it here and I will definetely keep some good memories.
Thanks Little Alien for being such a wonderful and patient guide! :-)
