Ship Ahoi!
Ah... finally... another day off! :-)
No getting up at 6:30 and going to the airport for hours on a shuttle bus or something!
Today's item of Chris' travel agenda: Going to Lamma Island!
Heard so much about that island, so today I'm going for the nature instead for tall buildings or shopping malls!

Somehow I don't feel so well today... Aaargh! Has Joe infected me during the Tokyo trip with his annoying staying-in-bed-the-whole-day desease??
Sigh! I hope not! I have to go to Taiwan tomorrow!

It's a lovely sunny and warm day. After a 30 minute boat ride I arrive at Sok Kwu Wan. There's a walking trail to Yung Shue Wan, which takes about 1:20 hours.
That's what the map at the ferry pier said.
Well, took me almost 2 hours to get to Yung Shue Wan. Soooo warm! Soooo exhausting! Ok ok I admit.
Sok Kwu Wan
.. I'm just not that much into nature...Can I have a nice air conditioned shopping mall now, please? Haha ;-)

So after completing the mandatory Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shue Wan hiking trip, I finally walked into one of the sea food restaurants there.
Somehow I still must have calculating in Yen, because otherwise I wouldn't have ordered that extraordinary expensive lobster.
Whatever... the really bad thing was that I couldn't even enjoy my lunch, because I felt sooo sick! Ouch!
Luckily the ferry pier is just a minute away, so I jumped on the next ferry back to HK. This time a big ferry, not as rocking as the small one I arrived with... and faster, too.
I was so glad to be back at the hotel... just falling on the bed and taking a nap for a few hours! :-P

After regaining conciousness due to extensive napping, I went to Times Square to meet TB Zoe, who took me to a quite new and pretty cool Starbucks in Central, decorated in old Hong Kong bing sut style.
Thanks Zoe! Next time I'll bring more time and a better health condition... ;-)

No wonder! Last time I got back to HK was February '08. I will check it out next time! =)

Maybe next time I'm luckier and can enjoy the seafood! :-)
Oh, I think that Starbucks opened this summer?

I like hiking from Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shue Wan. Then have a nice seafood meal before going back to HK Island. Unfortunately you were feeling sick and not be able to enjoy your lunch. I've never been to that Starbucks...I think they set it up after I left Hong Kong.
