Notes on my nomadic summer of 2007!

Day One in the Big D

Today was my first full day on the job and living in Dallas!  The drive to work was crazy because of all the construction going on in the Deep Ellum area, near I-45.  Once I found my way to the office, things went a lot better.  Had lunch at a great restaurant--Stephan Pyles.  The ambiance was really cool, it would make for an excellent date.  The food was even better!  I was especially excited by my salad.  It came with these four little droppers that made up the dressing, one of them had "Really Good Olive Oil," and the servers squeezed them onto the salad at the table.  I'd definitely recommend it.  The drive home was less eventful.  Tip: if you're ever driving in Dallas, DON'T rely on internet directions, an get a good map.
Self-described "New Millennium Southwestern Cuisine." Terriffic ambiance, kind of funky and exotic. The food is a little on the pricey side, but if you go for lunch it's pretty affordable. And the food is completely worth it. New twists on Southwestern favorites, with interesting flavor combinations.
