today we wanted to
see the suspesion bridge at lynn canyon.. we drove through to lions gate bridge
and the park and got a little lost after several horrible directions by the
locals.. what does upper levels mean? hahahha finally we got the the rainforest
where the sun was streaming through the trees... it was amazing.. really
beautiful.. then we heard rushing water and saw the suspension bridge! there
were only a few people there so we were able to take pictures of the bridge by
ourselves.. the bridge was over this river rapids and on the otherside was a
waterfall! we want on a little hike through the woods then got back to our cars
deciding where to go next.. a guy comes up to us and tells us to turn of our
car engine.. he was very concerned about the environment i guess.. so we drove
off toward the ferry where we arrived 2 hours early.. luckily there was a
shopping center there where i had doner.. and i bought a magnet of canada.. we
waited there and then drove onto the boat.. the boat was huge!! and verynice...
the views were amazing and we hoping to see whales but no luck.. the sun was so
nice that me and melissa fell asleep on the boat..great nap.. then we arrived in victoria where
we were hoping to see salmon swimming upstream.. but it was really far from the
town and it was getting dark again.. so instead we drove down the coast toward
the lighthouse and saw some otters swimming in the ocean! it was really cool..
we saw the sunset and drove back into town.. once we check into our hotel we
walked to the irish pub where the had live band.. this old guy playing violin
and accordian and this ten year old boy playing guitar. they were really good!
i ordered fries shepards pie and a guiness and we had apple crumble dessert and
icecream.. we walked around town for abit.. we went into the EMPRESS which is a
really fancy hotel.. it was pretty cool.. then we walked to the parliament
house and took some pictures there.. then we encountered these teenagers who
were giving out free hot chocolate on the streets.. they said it was for church
but we werent sure.. at our hotel it was full of teenager.. i guess there were
16 basketball teams staying at the hotel.. we had some of those kids below our
room and they were noisy..melissa called them in but it didnt help..they were
still noisy.. off to bed for another early day!
