Sunrise at Fuengirola
For those who don't know, Fuengirola belongs to Costa del Sol, which means lots of long beaches and sunsunsun & fun! :) The main thing people come there for is the beach life and the sun, that's really hot even in May! We had splendid weather the whole week, sun and +28-30°C every day! My poor fair skin didn't really like it, but I did :)

Lots of bars and restaurants can be found along the beach, and many of them aren't typical Spanish ones. On Sunday 13th Finland played hockey against Canada, which we were able to see at a Finnish bar. Saturday evening we spent watching the Eurovision 2007 at a Finnish restaurant - a must for us, as this was most probably the one and only time Finland ever get to organize the happening :)

Through Fuengirola runs many streets, but the two most important ones are the Bus road and the Train road.

On the bus road naturally the buses go, but that's also the main shopping street - great stores for someone like me :) The train road gets its name from the railway that go by Fuengirola (surprise surprise), but there's also shops on that one, e.g. El Corte Inglés which is the "famous" Spanish compartment store...

The city is not big at all, and can easily be walked thorugh. But for those who really like shopping, take a cab to the shopping centre Myramar (cabs are cheap!) - lots of great stores and restaurants, even open during siesta! The best time to go there is just then, during the siesta, when everytbody else is taking a nap or eating lunch - the shopping mall is totally empty! :)
