Sky Harbor
My friend Adam and I spoke three days earlier and I was to spend Saturday night at his house to allow for easier travel to Sky Harbor (which is only 15 minutes from his house), well this plan did not mature. I had to work a full shift on Saturday starting at 6:00 am, finishing at 2:00 pm. I went home to pack my back and put some warm clothes together for Desire seeing as she would be travelling from a warm climate to the cold of New York. When all was done, I felt exhausted (which I must admit I have been feeling a lot of lately). I decided I did not want to get in the car and drive 3 hours to Adam's place, beside I had called him all day to no avail. The dilemma I had now was of how to make it on time to Phoenix. My flight was scheduled to leave Sky Harbor at 9:57 am.

that aside, I did not want to pay $25 a night parking in the airport garage. Well after talking to Matt about the trip and finding out he had committed to a hike on Sunday morning, I decided to book a shuttle ride from Arizona Shuttle to Phoenix for $32 one way. Jerry (Desire's Dad) will pick us up on the return leg as he will not be at work then. Now that I was set, I made me a cup of tea, checked the flight status of KQ/KLM to make sure they were still leaving as scheduled and off to bed I went at about 8:45 pm. I set my alarm clock for 4:30 am wake-up.

My alarm went off later than I awoke. I had a refreshing morning shower, took a cup of tea and off to Arizona Shuttle office on Speedway Boulevard where I was supposed to be 15 minutes before departure. 6 other passengers were waiting when I arrived, I packed my car at the office and gave the shuttle driver my carry-on bag (he was loading them at the back of the shuttle bus). At exactly 6:00 am, we left the shuttle office and made three stops to pick up other passengers before heading off to Sky Harbor. We arrived at Sky Harbor at a quarter after 8:00 am, I checked in at the US Airways counter an headed to my gate. At exactly 9:40 we were called for boarding, the flight was full so there was a strict requirement for 1 carry and a smaller hand bag. 10:00 am we took off arriving in JFK at exactly 4:35 pm, it was 13 degrees (ouch!)

You sound like a New Yorker, he-he. I was brought up in the Tropics dear, 13 degrees is torture.
