we left prague this morning...and i think we were all ready to move on...with wallets and passports in hand....

it is a bueatiful city, but most of us were anxious to return to germany.... we left early for munich...last night was daylight savings here...so we got an extra hour of sleep which was nice, but we were ready for the next city...

we hopped in the coach, and had a 4 hour drive to munich...we made a detour and stopped in dachau....this was not a scheduled stop, but most of us wanted to visit there, and tomorrow our main day in the city...which is monday...it is closed as are most museums...so dangerous our manager and sam our driver stopped the coach...

dachau, for those who dont know, was the first concentration camp.

..also side notes...hitler never visited a concentration camp, and his director of concentration camps rarely visited them since the suffering and deaths made him sick to his stomach...ironic eh?

anyway...dachau...35k + died there....it was a very very sad site.. we went and walked around for an hour...much of the time i was teary eyed...why are humans so harsh to each other....i dont get it.... we walked through the grounds..near each of the barracks...and even to the gas chambers...which put me over the each...we were able to walk through each room...the waiting room, where those were undressed, then to the gas chamber, to the cremation chamber...an out....i am speechless...but once again...may we be free from suffering...

now adays there is a musem, and many churches on the grounds.

..greek, catholic, a nunery, and a synagogue... speechless..

after which we checked in our hotel and head out to munich...
today we would experience th eworst of germany and the best of germany or bavaria...

the dichotomy is chilling..

after we checked in we went to the hoofbrau house for litres of beer...it is not what i expected, i expected a massive hall...the structure is massive, but much more hallways than halls... and most of the beer wenches were men and not women...nonetheless. myself and the aussies had some beer, and dinner...

tonight it was 2 pretzsles..which is one of my favorite parts of germany and more sauerkraut.yumyum...then a group of us headed back to the hotel to sleep before our walking tour of munich in the morning...
