today was our first biiiiiiiig drive...we left the dam at 830 and drove for 3,5 hours until we were in germany for our first stop.... everyone slept most of the way as it was 2 long days in the dam...the country side has changed...there is a lot less water, less open landed...more rolling hills and lots of trees....i like germany so far...

we continued on for another 2 hours before our next stop...nothing major to report...more of that annoying vacation song....day 4 and it is not cool...

so our last leg to berlin we finally did what i was hoping for...introductions...i went first, not by choice...was chosen...up to the front, on the mic, sanding awkwardly as the bus moves at 100km in windy conditions...

here is the run down...of the 51 of us....there are 6 americans, 1 south african, 1 brazilian, 3 malaysians, and the rest aussies...yup, 40 or so aussies...apparently contiki is huge there and it is there summer after all....

we arrived in berlin in the early evening...first impressions, lots of contstruction, and graffiti....cosmopolitan and new... our hotel here is super...i have a huge bed and the room to myself again...wheeee!

we had a group dinner...more veggies and potatoes and german beer...after a groupof us took the metro to the tv tower...the communist tower...with hopes of going up...but it was too late... however it was a very cool site...
