I only stayed in krakow 2 nights and got there late the first night and had to leave early to catch the train after the second night, so I only got one full day and did not get too see much of the city. Although what I did see was very nice.
I went to Auschwitz concentration camp about an hour drive away from Krakow on my full day. This was by far the best day trip I did when in Europe. Its actually hard to explain how I felt walking around it because it was amazing yet so sad. Just trying to imagine what all them people went through and that people were being killed for no real reason. They do a tour with an english speaking guide which is well worth it as you learn a lot more. Its a definite must do around Europe. Even if you are not interested in WWII history you will love this trip but would recommend you spend time in krakow as well. 10/10
