The flights over

Geneva Travel Blog › entry 1 of 17 › view all entries

I got a surprise month off from work in Sept. 09, so I decided to go hiking. I hastily put together a plan to go hike the Tour du Mont Blanc in France, Italy, and Switzerland. It is a 100+ mile loop trail that goes around the massif itself. I ordered a book about it online, packed when I got home, bought some new equipment, and headed off into the unknown. Here is the story!

The flights over

I woke up this morning and headed to the airport in Austin. I was set to fly to Washington Dulles (IAD) to catch a flight to Geneva. The flights looked decent enough that I could get there hopefully. I jumpseated on the first flight without incident and waited around at Dulles. I walked around the airport because I had never been before. I had several hours to kill so that was nice. I ended up having to sit coach on the flight to Geneva because first and business had checked in full. that was ok though, as I supposedly had a row to myself. The flight was pretty uneventful, but leave it to Yonited, the flight attendants didn't even give me an extra smile. So much for having some profesional courtesy to a fellow crewmember. Some people are just cranky and theres nothing you can do about it.
