I decided not to do breakfast at the refuge because I wanted to get rid of some weight by eating what I already had. So I got up and departed towards Col des Fours. The hike was pretty steep, but nothing that I hadn't seen already. the top of the col is the highest point along the TMB along with one other point. The view would have been great except for two things. The clouds were relatively low, and would later envelope the col, plus the walls of the col were pretty steep so you couldn't see much on the sides. Just before the top of col I got to see an Ibex! It was just up the trail from me and the father/son pair got a better picture before it ran off, but I did see it! On top of the col I met up with the Spanish group who ate dinner at my table the night before. We took pictures for each other.
Towards the bottom of the valley I came upon a mobile milking truck. It was weird. There were cows ALL over the valley. All you could hear was the clinking of their bells. It was pretty cool, but kind of annoying after a while. Thankfully I didn't have to walk through the herd like I would the next day.
Ville des Glaciers was a few small buildings and that was it. Evidentally they produce cheese from the cows, because they were selling it. I didn't buy any though.
