Today we were going to see Machu Picchu as set up by one of the fellas at Kokopelli in Lima. We got the 3am wake up call by a guy who we then walked up to the top of the hill with- this is the begining of our trip to Machu Picchu. We wait with him and his wife for a bus to take us to the train station in Ollyantambo. At the top of the hill while waiting they give us our train tickets and told us who to meet in Aguas Calientes for our Machu Picchu tickets. It was about an hour an a half ride and we just made it to the train. We got to ride in the Vistadome Car and were pretty much the only ones on it, very nice indeed. It included a small breakfast and tea that was much needed since we still had not eaten- I brought a weird energy bar that looked like bird seed molded together that I bought from a place down the street. Arrival in Aguas Calientes led us to the Quipa Pizzeria where our tickets were, this would also be the place where we had to pick up our return train tickets later. All kinda weird, but it hadn't failed us yet so who cares. We met our guide and took the bus up to Machu Picchu.
