we arrived at santa lucia train station at about 7:30 in the morning, it way daybreak, the sky was soooo blue and huge patches of clouds covering it but the pink light of the sun was slowly shining down in venice! and as it touched the roof of the buildings, it gave the most beautiful hue i had seen in my entire life in a cityscape, venezia is really for the romantic at heart.
as we got out of the train, byiang asked me if we could go to the money changer before we deposit our bags, byiang changed some dollars into euros and to be honest, it wasnt really good, since the euro is so strong. ater that we went back again to the bag deposit area of the central station, it would be better to place our bags there as the check-in time at locanda poste vecie hotel was at 2 pm but we decided first to go to murano island, see how the famous murano glass is made and byiang wants to buy an authentic murano glass.
as we deposited our bags, we decided to first grab a bite, we went into an open cafe and we both ordered tea. it was still very early in the morning for me, i still couldnt eat, i drank the tea and after some minutes of guessing which nationality the guys across our table were, and i guessed they were dutch! but we didnt knew the answer since they were a bit too far from us, its difficult to hear their language.
passing rialto byiang got hungry again! lol and bought a half size pizza, i took a small bite, still cant eat, but the danger was, i was smoking too much. we didnt even bothered going to piazza san marco, we stopped halfway, as we decided that its better to start early going to murano - it was a beautiful perfect weather and the sun sets at 4:30 pm, so we must use the daylight as much as we can.
we went back to santa lucia and asked the tourist info hahha of how can we make the trip to murano island as cheap as it can get since we dont have much money.
inside the vaporetto, we sailed to another part of venice! instead of sailing through the grand canal to piazza san marco we sailed to another direction! and it was so beautiful! i have never seen that part of venice before!!!! as the vaporetto got more passengers, it got crowded but me and byiang did not moved from our place even though its cold and windy at the front - well byiang had an eye for the italian man who was assisting the passengers in the vaporetto hahahaha while i want to absorb and admire so many beautiful structures in my life.
as we got out from the snake like arteries of the canals in venice, we sailed finally out of the city and into the open lagoon! oh it was so windy and cold! but we endured it! the color of the lagoon is just unbelievable, seeing venezia from afar from the open lagoon was so beautiful, just beautiful it just literally literally literally took my breath away, and before i even knew it, we finally stopped into the station of isola di san michele.
