... Brazil over the clouds ...

I was so excited about going to the southern hemisphere! The day I left USA, temperature in Chicago was like 5'C (40'F). The pilot was so friendly in the aircraft and he said "You're gonna get rid of those jackets when you arrive Brazil. So, be happy! :)" ...

He was right, when I arrived Sao Paulo and went out from the airport building, I felt the temperature. It was 32'C (89'F)!!! And my friends told me it was the end of the spring, not even summer. OMG!

Sao Paulo is not only the largest city of Brazil, but also the southern hemisphere's with its population around 18 million people. It's the cultural and financial center of the country. You can find a lot of activities in this city. If you like to visit museum, you need to go to the Football Museum first.

Sao Paulo has a great football (soccer) culture with its 3 big teams; Palmeiras, Corinthians and Sao Paulo FC. I visited both stadiums (Morumbi of Sao Paulo and Pacaembu of Corinthians), and Football Museum is in Pacaembu aka Estadio Municipal. When you go to the museum, the first impression may be bad, however, you'll see the 'real' museum when you go upstairs. Even you don't like football, you'll be happy when you see this place, trust me! You need at least 1 hour to see everything there.

Also if you are interested in modern arts, you need to go MASP. It's on Paulista Avenue. There are also Portuguese Language Museum an another art museum in Ibirapuera Park.

Sao Paulo's nightlife is pretty tempting. So many bars and night clubs according to your taste of music and entertainment.

I recommend you to go to a Samba-Rock club. And when you go to that place, try the traditional Brazillian drink called "Caipirinha". It's based on Brazillian Tequlia called "Cachaça" and a mix of lime and sugar. It's strong but tasty! Also there is a light one they called "Sakerinha", based on Sake and strawberry mix.

Paulista Avenue is the financial center of the city, and it's a good place to walk, see the environment, have a cup of coffee or very delicious Braziilian juices. You can do shopping, buy some souvenirs etc. from here. Also, there is a very beautiful park called "Trianon Park". It's in the middle of the city but looks wild. You must see it!
