I happen to be in Barcelona almost 5 times now and every time it feels like the first time, the lovely Mediterranean weather and the nice positive feeling of the city make me think that I just got there.
Start in La Plaza de Cataluna, walk down to the Ramblas, stopping in the organic market, look at the street characters and artist while watching your wallet !!. Walk in the old Gothic and medieval city to find the Picasso Museum and as soon as you find the Colon circle walk towards the Olympic villa and the beach, you will find lots of signs in English, Spanish and Catalan, there is no way to get lost. I do recommend the tour bus after that is the best way to see the whole city, you will always find them in La plaza de Cataluna.

they cost about 20 to 30 in summer season, but they are totally worthed. Make sure to visit the Sagrada Familia, the house of Antoni Gaudi only if you are ready to stand in a long line and an pay an expensive ticket. But visit as well and for free: Park Gwell done by Gaudi to become part of the city treasures, it shows his whole architectural modernism style and has a panoramic view of the city, never the less it's also in one stop of the bus, get off in Montjuic and at the Miro muuseum...The Olimpic villa and the Stadium are also very famous places of interest.
Food is always good too and you will find any price and type around the city. Good deals and amazing tapas are always around the corner, look and ask for the real Catalan restaurants, they are the best and make sure try Sangria de Cava... - trust me, that is all you really needed to know!!!
The rest enjoy and make sure you have at least 3 days and lots of film... I do love Barcelona.
The so live is on all year long.!!!
