... me & the alligator ...

Our second day in Baton Rouge was just great, because we had a swamp tour. Yay! Feeding the alligators was an amazing experience.

We left New Orleans after the breakfast and headed to the place called LaPlace, where the tour company is. You can get your tour by a regular (conventinal) boat or a fast boat. Our boat was a regular one. The problem for me is the tongue of the guide. His accent was weird and hard to understand for me, kinda southern, kinda cajun. Pretty mixed. :)

The guide took us to the very interesting corners of the swamp and told stories about alligators, hunting etc. I don't wanna mention about that here, to keep the excitement of the audience, so no spoilers here! :) But during the tour, you will see alligators (big ones and baby ones), weird turtles, racoons and other species.

Anyhow, that night, we decided to have some cajun food, and headed to a restaurant called Boutins. It was a very nice athmosphere, the food was tasty and the service was quite good. I strongly recommend this place if you wanna experience the dishes of cajun cuisine.
