Kenya The Land of Safari
November 10, 2009
The word safari is derived from Swahili which means "long journey". This term has now become synonymous with wildlife tours to the different regions of Africa and the World over. Kenya is a land teeming with wildlife safari attractions from the Masai Mara national park which is part of the Serengeti-Mara river ecosystem found in Northern Tanzania and Southern Kenya respectively, to the Amboseli national park. The other renown national parks are Tsavo, Aberdares and Lake Turkana.
Traveling through these game reserves on a Kenya safari is definitely life transforming. You will be awed by the herds of wildebeest during their annual migrations. Then there is the plethora of bird species along the Lakes of Nakuru, Baringo and Naivasha.
