Here we are in Zambia, staying in the cosy comfort of Chanter's lodge.  We've packed in a lot of wonderful experiences, both natural and human-oriented.  we took a sunset river cruise on the Zambezi, while drinking wine and watching the sun set along with seeing hippos along with monkeys, birds and a baby elephant.  on the cruise we met 3 very entertaining and warm Britons, Penny, Andy and Nick, who invited us to dinner at their lodge.  we had a great time talking about politics, africa, and music.  andy, you lost the bet -- it is patti la belle...

Took a boat to victoria falls and victoria island where we swam in the river, overlooking the lip of the falls (unbelievable). Tim executed a perfect cannon ball into the devils pool, to the delight of the south african couple that befriended us, Hanneh and Dinah.  Then a formal lunch under a tent along with beverages.

Walked into Zimbabwe yesterday and saw the falls from the bridge there.  And witnessed an understandably terrified man bunji jumping off the bridge at the nagging of his friends.  Quite a day...
We love Africa.
more later,
Kari & Tim
