We we're planning on hiking another volcano but we ended up just making plans for the rest of our time in Chile. We were so tired from the summit the day before and from not sleeping in a bed for a few days. So after picking the brains of the locals at Ecole and Aquaviva we decided to head north and spend the night at a hostel in between our next 2 volcanoes we wanted to conquer.  Hernan at Ecole gave us directions, recommendations for the hostel, and even sold us his map book so we didnt have to go to the tourist office.

We started driving on the dirt roads to get to our next destination.

*Dirt roads take forever to drive on*

So we decided to reroute and stay on the paved roads. It made the trip longer distance wise, but it was much more comfortable, better for the car, and faster.

We found the Suizandina which is a little swiss run hostel between Cunco and Melipeuco. It had a sign on the way in that said Hansel and Gretel. So very apt for this establishment. It even cam complete with an oven too cook children in. When we drove up there was a Truck by the name of Gaucho which belonged to a Bolivian Mountaineering tour guide who had a group of Germans with him. So far on our trip the people had been amazingly accommodating warm friendly South Americans. The girl at the counter was a swiss girl who didn't want to go above and beyond. She didn't have much information on the area and was a bit short with us. Later we talked to a Chilean girl that worked there and she was cool and helpful.
