I love going to Panormos Beach, one for it's beautiful clear water and I find it's one of the few beaches that feels untouched. It accomodates everyone including families.
Its located on the north side of Mykonos, you really need a car or taxi to get here as it's a bit out of the way. Buses don't come to this beach, which is why it's not over populated. It generally accomodates the more traditional greeks and a mix of locals and tourists -not forgetting a section for the tourists wishing to bare all, that's on the right side of the beach.
I feel this beach is somewhat undeveloped, without umbrellas and sun beds. It is a narrow stretch of beach with little in-lets and low sand dunes, where you can sometimes find a bit of privacy.
If you choose to stay on the left side near the beach bar - taverna (filled with wild bamboo and shade trees) you will find more activity, music, food, drinks and a lively atmosphere. To the right of the beach there is also a taverna on the garden hillside or a pool cafe that is part of a hotel where you can relax, have a snack and take a dip in the pool.
I definately would recommend this as a quiet time beach - great for hangovers!!!
