Mykonos Nightlife - whats it all about?

Mykonos will not disappoint when it comes to nightlife BUT there are a few things you should know before you decide to rage until sunrise!
Pretty much every night we hit the clubs and bars, but unlike here in Australia you don’t leave your hotel until midnight. The choices are endless when it comes to clubs/bars, it just all depends what you’re up for and which DJ you want to see liveJ
Unfortunately I realised the hard way you can’t be in 3 places at once, and not plan too either! This time before I arrived, I had already noted the DJs I wanted to see at CAVO PARADISO and PARADISE CLUB, and then the rest is left to town!
Both CAVO and PARADISE club have websites they regularly post their DJ lineups on for summer….and they very rarely change, so it’s a good indication of how much partying you are up! They are known on the island as the two best venues to see the worlds top DJs.
Entry price to CAVO and PARADISE club are normally 20-25 EURO, BUT it’s the price of drinks that kills you, normal vodka and orange is 10 EURO in a small plastic cup!! In Mykonos you don’t usually find many drinks under 8 EURO, therefore those of you who like to drink, pre drinking before you head out is definitely called for, I also see a lot of people BYO alcohol to the beaches through the day - never seen anyone get in trouble for it either!
The beaches in themselves can also be an outdoor nightclub:) Paradise Beach, Super Paradise and Paranga Beach all offer excellent daytime party scenes that kick in around 5PM. It’s not uncommon to go from a day party to a night party all at the same time, nor get home at 10PM and head back out at 1AMJ
The bars in town are free entry, and after a while, depending how often you go there they start giving you the odd drink or two for free….
Every Mykonos first timer should try Skandinavian Bar and Space Nightclub….that is a must for the experience. The smaller bars around Little Venice in town are my favorite…Galleraki Bar, Scarpa Bar, Caprice Bar has good music….then there is Cosi Bar and Mykonos Bar. Through the summer you can guarantee each will be packed after 1AM, I have rarely seen an empty bar and restaurant after this time.
I will be talking about bars, clubs later on but as an overview the Mykonos nightlife is excellentJ
