Same Same But Different

I awoke today with an all knowing fear. I was in fear of the hangover that would await me for the day before.
Surprisingily not hungover, I sat in wonder at why my feet pained me so....until I saw the small ladies right flip flop and large mens right flip flop that were at the foot of my bed. My feet were fairly pained from my walk home in them.
My mission for the morning, was to keep avoiding the hangover monster and to buy new flip flops. So barefooted, I set off to find new flip flops across the red hot black pavement. I went barefoot as I did not want to look desperate in the other ones....not sure if that worked out. I wish I had bought them when I was in Java, everything was cheaper there.
Once I had something remotely comfortable on my feet, it was time to split my day between the pool & the beach. I do feel guilty knowing that I should be doing more but where's the fun in that. Although I must admit, I had planned to leave Matthew here doing his course a day or two ago but Im actually having quite a bit of fun here so why leave just yet.
It turned out that I was not wrong and more fun was on its way awaiting in the Sky Lounge again. I met Rael & Russ just outside and the Welsh girl was already nicely warmed up inside. I even managed to add to the group when in the queue and the welsh girl cut in ahead of everyone. I pretended to make fun of her for doing so, which naturally struk a chord with all the Aussies (in general, anyone in Bali is Aussie).
The upstairs bar had revolving specials every 15 minutes from 10 o'clock with specials such as vodka red bulls for $1 and many many more. Myself and Rael decided to also take advantage of that offer buying two or three drinks at a time before making it down to get more of the bottomless beer until 11 o'clock when we moved upstairs for the last hour of the 15 minute specials. It was then that we discovered the next floor which also had a bar....a bar that had a special whereby one drink was free...all night. The only catch was, they did not tell you what drink that was. A little tip is to see what is everyone else drinking and order that.
This night was going amazingily. We were all having such good fun.
Things only began to get hazy at this point. It was also the point where everyone started heading home. Me & the lads went off to Bounty and Paddys again. Soon though, Russ remembered he had a flight to catch soon, this meant we needed to sober him up quickily so it was off to find some soakage. Down some alley we found him a burger stall. These burgers looked really odd. They smelled off. They didnt even taste good. We still ate 2 very suspect burgers each.
With Russ gone, myself & Russ went back into Bounty and soon befriended plenty of locals and some wierd tourists including a guy called Buddha!!
Our memories run hazy here but we do remember seeing Russ fly past on a bike waving at us on his way to the airport. What a night!
