My europe whirlwind was amazing. i walked so much, ate a lot of chocolate and yummy vendor food, experienced a wide variety of hostels, and met amazing people!
i went to amsterdam first, then to brugge in belgium. a very cute town i'd recommend to anyone! then i went to florence, italy on teh overnight train. i had studied there two years ago and was very excited to be back and hit up all my old stomping grounds. after florence i went to the coast for a few days to a beautiful beach town called finale ligure. unfortunately the weather sucked but i stayed in an amazing hostel that used to be a castle. from italy i went to interlaken switzerland with all intentions of skydiving. unfortunately as soon as i arrived there was a huge blizzard.
it had been like spring the week before :( all things were closed down, even some ski hills, so i couldn't do anything. i just hung out in the hostel but had fun meeting other travelers there. swizerland is beautiful and the train ride was amazing! i'd love to go back there in summer. from switzerland i went to paris. paris was my favorite place! i wish i had more time there, five days wasn't enough. but i saw so much and walked all over the city. it is beautiful. i also went to versailles one day and that was exciting. i pretended i was marie antoinette of course, but the gardens were not in bloom yet. from paris i had to go to london because i was flying out of there. i only had one day in london but i had been there before. i love london and wished i could have spent more time there. i had to sleep in heathrow my last night and it was freezing but free! i love going by myself b/c i met people i never would have met if i was with someone. meeting people is my favorite thing about traveling.
