In my quest to get a kidney to sell, I make some awesome new friends... a new favorite in particular... my kidney donor... Ian. (Photos were borrowed, taken, stolen, and given by all the kind travbuddies I saw this weekend... mahalo plenty!)

Red red rocks, stay close to meeee... la la la

A quick stop

Day 2… Part 2… Psychics and UFO’s?  Yes, and TB sighting all over Sedona.

We begin our drive.  I’m stuffed from our fabulous omelets, banana and coconut pancakes.  Oooooh, so good!!  Joanna is in and out of conversation and Daniel and I try to follow her stories.  I think we did well in the skill of “pretending to know what she’s talking about”.   High five Daniel!!  Joanna, let’s work together on “having conversation flow” because a few guys couldn’t understand me the night before either.  The drive seemed short, but I wasn’t driving, so it wasn’t too bad for me.  Daniel is such a sport and I’m really considering him as a back up, for that kidney!  But I wonder if I would lose the jump rope challenge with him.

The sights
Maybe running backwards would be more challenging for him!!  I’ll start practicing.

We drive through Sedona, up, around, back and around again, then back to the Hyatt.  There was a Psychic convention party something rather going on.  Lot's of interesting crafts and people walking around.  We finally meet with Adrian and the group and get munchies... their group has already munched.  We ate at a cute little eatery at the foot of the Hyatt.  I feel like I’m eating way too much this day.  So I grab half sandwich and half salad since Joanna wanted pasta and Daniel was super starving.  No sharing this time.  The Vegas group arrives with my hotel mate and it’s a cheerful reunion with Mel, Sal and RJ and I.

The Sedona group
I meet the new members of their group and we have a little pow wow as the Vegas group snacks on ice cream... then it was off to take another drive and snap pictures.  We stopped off a couple of times on the side of the road on the way up and I got to wave at a lot of people driving back down.  The traffic was bad.  Sad face.  We decide to head further up to Flagstaff to avoid the traffic for a continuous drive.  Keith joins in our car and we dig into his soul and talk travel.  I'm very excited that he did.  Since he was the man of the weekend, I had to get to know him.  And what a great guy he is!!  I know for sure I'll be visiting him next time I'm on the islands!  Yay friends!

As we're cruising along, I get a call from Adrian telling me we’re stopping for pie.

This is how I rode around
Really?  I wanted to get back to the hotel, eat, shower and take a nap.  Daniel was tired and so was Joanna.  We all just ended up going anyways, and half of us had dinner while the other half had pie.  I was surrounded by some of the handsome travbuddy men at our table of 8 and we filled the room with laughter.  I had another share & split moment, this time with Mark.  Mark ordered a cheeseburger and I got chicken fried steak.  Neither was that great, but it was edible.  We also had apple pie… which was mediocre.  Our table ordered a whole pie to split which worked out perfectly.  Great job smarty pants!

Ok… NOW we’re heading back.  Daniel looks beat and he asks if I can drive the rest of the way.

we come in large and fun size
No problem.  Keith still rides with us and we head back and drop off Joanna at her car, per her request to drive to herself to her hotel to meet her friend, get ready and eat… she only had pie.  I head up to the room to take a shower and get a call from Adrian.  No showers…new plan.  Just head to the new venue where the other group was waiting.  Darn it!  I should have jumped in the shower when I had the chance!
